After being bitten by Elk Grove Police dog, suspect bites K-9 back

Call it a case of man biting dog. Those are the allegation against an Elk Grove man who was arrested yesterday by police.

According to reports from Elk Grove Police, Jason Jaspeet Nagra, 30 was taken into custody after an early morning incident on Thursday, May 7. Nagra allegedly bit an Elk Grove Police K-9.

The incident started around 6 a.m. when Nagra vandalized the front yard of a residence on the 8500 block of Iris Crest Way. When confronted by a resident, Nagra slapped the victim.

With the assistance of a witness, the victim was able to subdue Nagra but not before being bit in the leg. When Elk Grove Police officers arrived Nagra was combative and after failing to comply with orders, the K-9 unit was deployed.

After the B-9 bit Nagra, he in turn reportedly bit the dog. Officers learned that Nagra was involved in a hit and run collision prior to vandalized the front lawn.  

Nagra was arrested, booked into the county, and has been released.
