In the last days of voting, candidates in Elk Grove held their final push for support.

For Elk Grove Mayor Steve Ly who is seeking his third year two-year term, his efforts included a text and phone bank at his campaign office. At Ly's office, which is also used by Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee candidate Sean Yang, along with phone banking, campaign volunteers distributed last-minute campaign literature than included a bottle of hand disinfectant.

Elk Grove City Council District 3 candidate Maureen Craft held a candy giveaway that saw over 300 cars take advantage of drive-thru distribution. Craft is one of five candidates seeking the open seat.

Even though they have been in the hands of voters since early October, as voting closes there are over 50-percent of Elk Grove ballots outstanding as of Friday, October 30 according to Politcal Data Inc. Citywide 56-percent of registered Democratic voters have been returned while 46-percent of Republican and 40-percent of independents have submitted their ballots.
