Democratic voters outpacing Republican, independents in Elk Grove; 53% of ballots submitted citywide

With the close of the 2020 presidential election quickly approaching, over 50-percent of eligible ballots of Elk Grove voters have been cast.
According to information compiled by Political Data Inc., as of Saturday, October 31 56-percent of the 106,531 ballots mailed to voters, 56,122 or 53-percent of voters have submitted their ballots. Returns rates are highest for Democratic voters at 60-percent or 26,265 ballots.

Republican and independent voters citywide lag Democratic participation rates. Among Republicans, 50-percent have returned ballots while only 44-percent of independents have participated.
