A group dedicated to helping disadvantaged families in Elk Grove is holding a fundraising event on Saturday, November 13.

Uplift People of Elk Grove is accepting orders for the fall harvest meal to help fund their community outreach activities. The meals will be available between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the Elk Grove United Methodist Church on Elk Grove Boulevard.

The meal includes an 11" chicken pot pie with handmade crust, white meat and vegetables, six fresh rolls, green salad and dressing, and four homemade brownies.

All proceeds go to support Uplift People of Elk Grove, who are helping families out of poverty. For more information, visit their website or Facebook page.
