According to first tallies released at 8:15 p.m., incumbent Elk Grove Unified Trustee Tony Perez and first-time candidate Sean Yang leading the races for Area seats 1 and 3 respectively.
Perez has 59 percent with 38,388 votes over challenger Regina Bank's 26,261 or 40-percent. Yang leads the three-way race for the open seat with 45-percent, or 28,729 votes over Bobby Roy who has 37-percent and Victor S. Wilson's 17-percent.
