Two Sacramento men arrested following traffic stop on suspicion of processing stolen catalytic converters, drugs

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 19 Elk Grove Police arrested two suspects following a traffic stop.

The two suspects, Ricardo Chavez, 26, and Deigo Sanchez-Mena, 25, were in a vehicle that was stopped for a code violation near Power Inn Road and Fertelli Drive. A records check showed Chavez was on probation.

A probation search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, burglary tools, a catalytic converter, and personal identifying information not belonging to either suspect. Both men were arrested, booked into the county jail and released later that day.
