A shooting near the Elk Grove Winco store that resulted in injuries is under investigation.
According to Elk Grove Police, on the evening of Sunday, August 29, officers responded to Sheldon Road and Lewis Stein after receiving reports of gunshots. One person sustained non-life threatening gunshot injuries and was taken to an area hospital and two others had unspecified injuries.
No further information has been released and the incident is under investigation, In their social media post, the police department characterized this as an isolated incident.
