Landscape worker robbed, assaulted in Elk Grove's Camden neighborhood


 

Elk Grove Police seek assistance in their investigation of an early morning robbery and assault.

According to police reports the victim was preparing to do landscape work at 6:45 a.m. today in the Camden neighborhood he was approached by a Black male wearing dark clothing and a black face mask. The suspect brandished a gun and demanded the victim’s property. 

After complying with the demands, the suspect assaulted the victim prior to fleeing on foot. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.

Officers searched the area extensively for the suspect and canvassed the surrounding area for video surveillance footage. Detectives are asking anyone that may live in the Camden area to check their surveillance cameras thirty minutes to an hour before and after the time of the crime for the suspect.
