Race for second place in District 10 Assembly race tightens
In the highly competitive race for the District 10 California Assembly, the fight for second place has tightened with the release of the second vote tally in Sacramento County.
While Democrat Stephanie Nguyen has maintained her lead with 34.28-percent, the race for the all important second place has tightened. Democrat Eric Guerra's lead has slipped slightly to 27.2 percent while Republican Eric Rigard has increased his total to 25.54-percent.
Should Rigard overtake Guerra for second place and Nguyen finishes in first, in the heavily Democratic district Nguyen would have a relatively easy path to victory in the November general election.
