Three of the five candidates competing for District 2 and 4 seats on the Elk Grove City Council reported campaign donations. For two of the candidates, it was their first reported contributions.

District 2 candidate Michelle Kile reported her first campaign contribution of $1,000. The donation came from an individual.

Giezi Bermudez is running in District 4 and reported his first donation of $2,000. Like Kile, his contribution was from an individual.

The other District 4 candidate, Elk Grove Planning Commissioner Sergio Robles, reported two donations totaling $3,500. The donations were from U.S. Rep. Dr. Ami Bera, who gave $1,000, and $2,500 from John Reyenen's Elk Grove Land Investments.

Robles is a field representative for Bera and is the Democratic establishment's preferred candidate. Robles has been endorsed by Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen and Elk Grove City Councilmember Stephanie Nguyen, who also endorsed Bermudez.

Kile faces business owner Felipe Martin and Cosumnes Community Services District Director Rod Brewer.
