Thanks for a great article on this Memorial Day,Dan. I wonder how many will stop for just a brief moment today to acknowledge the price so many have paid for the privileges so many of us take for granted. And how eloquent a speaker our 35th president was. I’m sure Pierre Salinger had his hand in that speech, but the country hasn’t had a speech writer or orator so articulate and persuasive since 1963. Thanks for sharing that 1963 Memorial Day speech. Godspeed and best wishes to all in our city today.
