Nguyen receives $299,000 in contributions for 2024 California Assembly reelection campaign




For the six months ending June 30, Democratic California District 10 Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen gathered $299,700 for her 2024 reelection campaign. Nguyen, a former Elk Grove City Council member, won the seat in November 2022 election.

Among notable contributions to Nguyen are the following:
  • Northern California Carpenters -  $9,700
  • Peace Officers Research Association - $7,000
  • Sempra Energy - $5,500
  • Philipps 66 -  $5,500
  • Californians For Safer Neighborhoods, Sponsored by LA County Sheriffs Assoc - $5,500
  • Californians For Jobs and a Stronger Economy - $5,500
  • Morongo Band of Mission Indians $5,000
  • HPUL Project Operations - $5,100
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook) $5,000
  • California Hotel & Lodging Association - $5,000
  • California Apartment Association - $4,900
  • PG&E - $4,500
  • California Hospital Association - $4,000
  • Reed Hastings, CEO NetFlix - $3,000
  • Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association of America PAC - $3,000
  • Los Angeles Police Protective League - $2,500
  • Marathon Petroleum - $2,500
  • Govern for California Courage - $2,000
Nguyen received 114 contributions during the period. Only one contribution, from Mr. Hastings, was classified as an individual. 

Along with the new contributions, Nguyen ended the reporting period with $234,257. With superior campaign financing, Nguyen is expected to have only token opposition in the March 2024 primary and the November 2024 general election.
