Former Elk Grove Unified campus supervisor arrested on suspicion of touching, communicating with student with sexual intent

The Elk Grove Police Department announced this afternoon a former Elk Grove Unified School District employee is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of a lewd and lascivious act with a child under 14 years old.
David Martinez Jr.(pictured below), a former elementary school campus supervisor allegedly communicated inappropriately with the 11-year-old and touching with sexual intent. EGUSD official were notified of the allegation by a school staff member at Helen Carr Castello Elementary School, who then contacted Elk Grove Police.
In their statement issued this afternoon, the EGPD said Martinez was initially placed on administrative leave during the investigation. The investigation led to police obtaining an arrest warrant.
Mr. Martinez turned himself in yesterday in at the Sacramento County Main Jail where he is currently being held on a bail of $200,000 for Penal Code Sections 288(a) and 288.3. Arraignment is tomorrow afternoon.
As reported in the story, "Those checks, known in the industry as rolling retests, occur at random. They require the driver to lift a hand off the wheel, pick up the device and blow — hard — into its mouthpiece for several seconds. If the driver fails or doesn’t comply, the car goes into panic mode: Its headlights flash and its horn honks until the driver turns off the engine.

Interesting, if he claims to read library books from the school library that could be an interesting line of defense.
Maybe he read to many Curious George books - better ban those too!
