Gift disclosure by Councilman Robles show he accepted VIP tickets to event before his 2023 drunk driving arrest
His California Form 700 statement of economic interest shows that during 2023, the first-term District 4 representative accepted five gifts valued at $772.
The gifts were the following:
- Sacramento Association of Realtors, board installation lunch, January 11 - $50
- North State Building Industry Association, board installation dinner, January 20 - $165
- Kaiser Health Foundation Health Plan, Cap-to-Cap dinner, April 23, $232 - $232
- Cal Asian Chamber, AAPI Night Market, May 19 - $250
- North State Building Industry Association, advocacy breakfast, September 7 - $75
Robles' disclosures, as well as videos posted on social media, show him in an inebriated state during the Cal Asian Chamber's AAPI Market Night event in Sacramento (see video below). Hours later, Mr. Robles was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving by Elk Grove Police.
Mr. Robles is scheduled for another hearing related to his May 2023 arrest tomorrow in Department 4 of the Sacramento Superior Court. In the days after his arrest, Robles publicly admitted to drunk driving.
Since his arrest, Mr. Robles has curtailed social media posts showing him indulging in alcoholic beverages. At the time of his arrest, Robles was a field employee for Congressman Ami Bera.

EGN needs to show a little more respect to our 2023 Veteran's Day parade Grand Marshall, Army reservist, who tirelessly defends our freedom one weekend a month!
Robles is an embarrassment to our city. He needs to fade into the sunset at the earliest opportunity. He's never taken his duties as a councilman seriously. I do thank him for his military service to our country.
