Mayor Singh-Allen is too busy to work on homelessness but not so much to throw a self-serving Barbie birthday bash

So, what is keeping Mayor Singh-Allen so busy that she cannot attend a quarterly policy group meeting addressing the state's most urgent problem? By all indications, partying and publicizing the event is more important than working for the people.
Elk Grove News readers shared social media images and videos celebrating the mayor's birthday. Interestingly, Councilmember Darren Suen also posted a picture of himself dressed for the Barbie-themed celebrations held at Old Town-Historic Downtown Elk Grove's Coatza Brewery.
To show EGN and our readers are good sports, we sincerely wish the mayor a happy birthday with many more to come and genuinely appreciate your social life's transparency.
Forget working on the regional and Elk Grove homeless crisis - as long as you enjoy the slavish adulation of your social media followers, for you, the city, and the regional problems, homelessness is an abstraction and is a mere annoyance.

Does Mr. Suen think he is Hugh Hefner incarnate? Old Town Elk Grove is not the Playboy mansion where pajama-wear is acceptable.
Donnie Trump tried to play Hugh Hefner and it cost him $130,000 and 34 felony convictions. Hoping Mr. Suen's escapade is less costly, albeit completely embarrassing, as usual. Out leaders will just never learn to grow up and express a sense of decorum their title should command. Remember, Mr. Suen is chief of staff for our Assembly person, Stephanie Nguyen.

I recall a photo of former council member Hume at the aquatic center grand opening in pool attire and with a large tubular pool toy, in what could be described as a phallic state. This reminded me of that.

What a bunch of embarrassing people on our city council. Between a council member who is a drunk driver and a mayor who inappropriately laughs at meetings, now we have the senior member who is wearing what amounts to pajamas in public. At least Steve Detrick had the good sense not to wear that stupid "grow Elk Grove" cap.
This group should be called the Elk Grove City Circus because they are nothing but annoying clowns.
