Regarding Agenda item 8.1, it’s my understanding that Madame Mayor holds a high ranking position with the gas station and convenience store coalition, at least that was what she claimed as recently as last year. As such, it’s a blatant conflict of interest for her to have heard and voted on item 8.1.
This is just more lack of ethics displayed by our leader. She has a law degree, she has taken a city required ethics course, yet she continues to abuse the rules and to what end? Why? The item passed 5-0, would have passed 4-0 and she would have shown some ethics that are required by her position. Time for a change! Where’s our city attorney to remind her of her duty to recuse herself?
