On top of the aforementioned $10 million, our City (our taxpayers) will likely pay the State back all their costs in suing us. That may be well over another $1 million.
Our city is now the state’s laughingstock for challenging already well litigated state law. All cities will say, don’t be like Elk Grove!
This is embarrassing and no one will take accountability for this. That’s unacceptable.
The mayor is our leader. She needs to accept responsibility and apologize to every citizen.
