Americans learned of the bombing of Pearl Harbor 83 years ago today. That attack and the events following that infamous day, along with the Great Depression, shaped the world for earlier generations.

The significance of that day and more recent events is lost with most Americans.

I’m afraid Dan’s comments are bullseye right on. Short memories, instant gratification seem to rule the day. Those Americans with short term memory loss, I’m afraid will get what they voted for. I guess we all will. I pray our national resolve and stubbornness get us through this with the republic intact. If not, we have only ourselves to blame.
