America's Hangover, Until the Next Bender!

Oooh, my aching head! Well, it's Sunday morning and my head aches! Like a one-night bender, America wakes up this Sunday morning to a political hangover, and like real-life benders, we must be wondering to ourselves - did I do anything I should be ashamed of? Did I act like a fool? Oh god, please don't tell me I hooked up with someone from the other side!
Using the 2024 election popular vote results as a guide, 49.8% of Americans relished in the seemingly endless crawl of tanks and stiff soldiers parading in front of the birthday boy - while 48.3% of Americans marched in opposition to King Trump like spurned friends who weren't invited to the party.
Others either had to work or were rifling through their dresser drawers looking for their papers in case ICE came knocking. Oh, and our Mayor did a drive-by the protestors with her magnetic sign stuck on her car door--essentially saying I'm above all this but know who I am!
Tomorrow is Monday, and yesterday's bender will be but a fading memory for most. America as we perceive it will still be here and media pundits will blanket the airwaves telling us what we saw and will see in the future. Wall Street will make their bets and workers will punch time cards and worry about making ends meet. Business as usual.
Until the next bender, please pass me the aspirin!
