Scherman received $5,000 in cold hard cash from MV Transportation – Can she do the right thing?

During last weeks Elk Grove City Council meeting, council member Sophia Scherman said having Sacramento Regional Transit provide the city’s bus service would be a return to the Dark Ages.
"My point of view is going to RT [Regional Transit] is like going back to the Dark Ages"

Scherman’s response was in regards to whether or not the city should renew its contract with MV Transit.

Even though MV Transportation is embroiled in a lawsuit with the city for breach of contract, it is interesting that Scherman, as well as council members Mike Leary and Jim Cooper, would out of hand reject other options.

Scherman has said she is “disgusted” with MV Transporation, but just how disgusted can she be?

According to her own campaign website, Scherman boasts of having raised buckets full of cash, including $5,000 from, you guessed it, MV Transporation.

Council member Scherman, if you are sincerely disgusted with MV Transportation, do the right thing and return the $5,000.

It is the honorable and ethical thing to do.
