Hotel developer donates to Scherman who shepherds mult-million Elk Grove taxpayer subsidy


Sophia Scherman received $6,000 in cash donations from hotel developer Reynolds & Brown
who recently was awarded a multi-million dollar taxpayer subsidy to develop a hotel in Elk Grove.

According to election financial papers filed with the Elk Grove city clerk, Scherman received $2,500 from the Bay Area developer between July 1 and September. The contraversial tax-kickback scheme was approved by the city council in August.

Shermans total take from Reynolds & Brown has been $6,000 so far this year.
