Detrick Outpaces Opponents in Fundraising in Elk Grove District 3 Race

According to disclosure reports filed with the Elk Grove City Clerk's office, incumbent Elk Grove City Councilman Steve Detrick has a substantial financial advantage over his two opponents. Detrick, who is seeking his third four-year term for District 3, is being challenged by Maureen Craft and Vincent Neuburger.

In seven Form 497 disclosures filed between August 26 and September 19, 2016, Detrick reported nine contributions totaling $17,500. The largest contribution of $5,000 came from subdivision builder Taylor Morrison.

Detrick's other contributions came from California Real Estate Political Action Committee, $1,000; Nissan of Elk Grove, $1,000; Laborers Local 185, $1,000; M&H Realty, $1,000; Reynolds & Brown, $2,500; Wackman Ranch, $1,000; Committee for Home Ownership, $2,750; and PG&E, $1,000.

During the same period, Craft reported one contribution from an individual for $2,500; Neuburger has no reported contributions.
