Stolen Vehicle Suspect Leads Elk Grove Police on Vehicle Pursuit, Ends With Crash

September 27, 2016 |

An Elk Grove man was arrested yesterday after he led police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle.

Early last evening Elk Grove Police observed a vehicle being driven near 2nd Avenue and Elk Grove Boulevard by 30-year old Brian Dale Wilson (pictured above) that had been reported stolen. When officers initiated an enforcement stop, Wilson did not yield and led them on a 2.5-mile pursuit that ended near Black Kite Drive at Spring House Way when the vehicle hit a utility box.

Wilson fled on foot but was quickly apprehended. A search of the stolen vehicle led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail where he is facing three felony and seven misdemeanor charges. Wilson, who will be arraigned tomorrow afternoon, is not eligible for bail.
