Elk Grove Police Arrest Suspected Weed Dealer, Held on Half-million Bail

A Sacramento man is being held at the Sacramento County Jail after being arrested yesterday following a traffic stop.

Shortly after 7 p.m. a vehicle being driven by 40-year old Jinchang Wu (pictured above) was stopped by Elk Grove Police for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, the strong odor of marijuana emanated from the vehicle.

After Wu was detained, a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of marijuana and indicia of sales. Wu was arrested and is being held on $500,000 bail but is not eligible for release because of the seriousness of the charges.

Arraignment is scheduled on Thursday, October 6.
