Elk Grove South County Democratic Club to Host Health Care Advocate at Monthly Meeting

The Elk Grove-South County Democratic Club will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 17, at the Elk Grove Public Library located at Elk Grove Boulevard and Elk Grove-Florin Road. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

The featured speaker will be Keith McCallin from Health Care for All. This organization is working to implement a single-payer, universal health care system in California in light of efforts to unwind the Affordable Care Act. 

Also invited are two area state legislators, Assemblymembers Ken Cooley and Jim Cooper, who, hopefully, will be able to share their insights into what changes might emerge from this year’s legislative session.
