Elk Grove Man in Custody on Domestic Violence, Child Endangerment Charges

An Elk Grove man is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after he allegedly injured his victim in a domestic violence incident. 

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14 Elk Grove Police officers contacted Courtney Russell, 46, after he allegedly stuck his victim in the face and head causing visible injuries. The victim's injuries required medical treatment.

Russell was arrested and is being held on two felony domestic violence charges, and two misdemeanor charges including child endangerment and obstruction of justice. Bail has been set at $80,000 and arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, February 16.

The victim was granted an emergency protective order.
