Elk Grove Police Arrest Woman For Attempted Purchase of Meds With Fake Prescription, Child Endangerment

February 7, 2017 |

Elk Grove Police arrested a Sacramento woman and an accomplice on suspicion of attempting to buy drugs with a stolen prescription and child endangerment last night.

The suspect, Michellena Vallare, 32, entered the Raley's store on the 9600 block of Elk Grove Boulevard and submitted a stolen prescription to the pharmacy in the name of another person. Recognizing the prescription was stolen, the pharmacist contacted Elk Grove Police.

When responding officers attempted to contact Vallare, she allegedly fled from the store with her 9-year-old daughter. Officers located Vallare outside of the store and tried to detain her.

Vallare reportedly refused to comply, and while the officers were attempting to arrest her, Ronald Williams, 32 of Sacramento began interfering with the officers. Williams was detained and was found to be associated with Vallare.

During their investigation, officers determined that the Vallare had allegedly had left her two other children, ages 11 and 5, alone at a residence in Sacramento. The Sacramento Sheriff`s Department responded to the residence and confirmed that both children were left without adult supervision.

Vallare and Williams were arrested and booked into the county jail where they remain in custody awaiting arraignment on Wednesday, February 8. The three children were later turned over to Child Protective Services (CPS).
