Suspects led police on a multi-jurisdictional high-speed pursuit

April 19, 2017 |

A K9 unit of the Elk Grove Police helped apprehend one of two armed robbery suspects following a multi-jurisdictional high-speed pursuit that ended in Galt.

Yesterday morning around 9:30, Elk Grove Police were notified by Sacramento Police that two suspects who staged an armed robbery were traveling south on Highway 99. An Elk Grove patrol officer located the car matching the description on southbound Highway 99 at near Pringle Avenue.

The driver of the vehicle, Courtney Beach, 25, of Lodi, fled at a high rate of speed through the City of Galt. The vehicle eventually crashed into a ditch and both occupants fled the vehicle on foot.

Thomas Kamron, 25, of Lodi was taken into custody with the assistance of the Police K9 and Beach was located and detained by Galt Police officers.

Subsequent to the arrests, Elk Grove Police Detectives determined that Beach and Kamron were also suspects in for two Monday night attempted robberies. In those robberies, which occurred at the Chevron gas station on Bond Road and Snow Bites ice cream shop on Elk Grove-Florin Road, the suspects did not display firearms and resulted in the suspects leaving both businesses empty-handed.

Both suspects are in custody at the Sacramento County Jail and are scheduled for arraignment on Thursday, April 20. Because it is an ongoing investigation, booking photos are not currently available,
