Stockton Police Investigating Late-night Homicide

The Stockton Police Department is investigating a murder after responding to a shooting late last night. 

At 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 4400 block of Calandria Street. Upon arrival, they located a 21-year old man seated in a vehicle suffering from a single gunshot wound and unresponsive. 

Medics responded but declared the victim deceased prior to transporting him. SPD detectives were called to take over the investigation which is ongoing. The victim will be identified by the San Joaquin County Cororner pending notification of next of kin.
