A traffic stop in Lodi led to the arrest of three people suspected of possessing and distributing methamphetamine.

On the evening of Saturday, June 10, Lodi Police stopped a vehicle being driven by Kari Jones, 50, of Lodi for a code violation. A records search revealed Jones had an active arrest warrant, and a subsequent vehicle search led to the discovery of over a quarter pound of methamphetamine.

After obtaining a search warrant of Jones residence on the 3000 block of Radiance in Lodi, several people were contacted there. A stolen vehicle was located in the garage along with an additional one and a quarter ounces of methamphetamine and one-quarter ounce of cocaine.

Occupants of the residence, Daina Mertz, 50, was arrested and booked for drug possession, and Michael Grant, 48, was arrested and booked for a warrant. Jones was booked into the LPD jail for drug possession for sale, transporting drugs, possession of a stolen vehicle, traffic related offenses, and her warrant.
