Suspected Elk Grove Serial Bank Robber Arrested

A suspect in a series of Elk Grove bank robberies over a one year period has been arrested.

The suspect, Joe Felix Gonzalez, 49, of Sacramento, was taken into custody on Thursday, June 29 by detectives from the Elk Grove Police Department. Gonzalez was apprehended following a traffic stop on the 2400 block of Florin Road in Sacramento. 

Detectives have determined that Gonzalez was responsible for the following bank robberies in Elk grove

May 7, 2016 - Chase 8451 Elk Grove-Florin Road 

January 13, 2017 - Farmers and Merchants Bank 8799 Elk Grove Blvd. 

March 20, 2017 - US Bank 9230 Elk Grove-Florin Road. 

May 5, 2017 - Bank of the West 8426 Elk Grove-Florin Road

Gonzales is being held at the Sacramento County Jail on a $4 million bail and was arraigned this afternoon.
