Robbery victim assaulted by group of unknown suspects at Elk Grove park

A robbery victim was assaulted by several unknown suspects at a park in Elk Grove.

Just before 1 a.m. on Monday, July 10, Elk Grove Police responded to Fales Park on Auberry Drive in north Elk Grove after receiving a call from a robbery victim in need of medical attention. The victim was reportedly walking through the park when they were approached by several unknown individuals. 

One of the suspects ran up to the victim from behind and struck the victim several times in the head with a metal object. Another suspect demanded property and searched the victim.

The victim ran away from the location and escaped the suspects. The victim was later transported to a local area hospital by an uninvolved person. 

One of the suspects was described as a Black male adult, 5’5”, with a stocky build. All of the suspects were wearing dark clothing.
