While Waiting at Elk Grove Traffic Light, Motorist Injured by Thrown Glass Bottle

A motorist who was stopped at a traffic signal in Elk Grove was visibly injured by a bottle thrown at their vehicle.

At 1 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25 the motorist was awaiting a traffic signal change at the intersection of Elk Grove Boulevard and Fire Poppy Drive on the city's west side. While there, an unknown vehicle drove by and an occupant threw an empty glass bottle at the victim. 

The bottle came through the driver’s side window and struck the victim in the face resulting in a visible injuries that treated at her residence by paramedics at her residence. No suspect information available at this time.
