Police Investigating Elk Grove Shooting That Left One Man Injured

Elk Grove Police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured in an incident that investigators are saying was not random.

At 1 a.m on Sunday, October 29 police officers responded to the 2100 block of Heger Way on the city's far west side regarding a man who had been shot. Upon arrival the victim, who sustained gunshot wounds to the upper torso, was located in the backyard of a residence. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition. 

 A light colored four-door Lexus was seen leaving the area and may have been involved. This shooting was not random and the investigation is continuing.
