Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Coffee Shop Customers, Resisting Arrest by Elk Grove Police

An Elk Grove man is being held at the Sacramento County Jail after he allegedly harassed customers at a 24-hour coffee shop and resisted arrest.

At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 19 Elk Grove Police were dispatched to the Dutch Bros. coffee shop on the corner of Sheldon and Elk Grove-Florin roads. Reportedly Anthony Bustamante, 32, was threatening people.

When police contacted Bustamante, it was discovered he was on probation. When officers attempted to detain him, Bustamante allegedly took a fighting stance and resisted arrest resulting in a minor injury for one of the officers.  

Bustamante was arrested and booked into the county jail where he is being held on two felony and one misdemeanor charges. Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21.

This story was updated - the incident occurred on the 8800 block of Sheldon Road, not the 8300 block as first reported.
