Reckless Driver Apprehended by CHP, Taken Into Custody By Elk Grove Police

A Sacramento motorist who allegedly recklessly alluded police was ultimately arrested by California Highway Patrol.

During the early morning hours of Sunday, January 14, Elk Grove Police observed a vehicle driven by Eric Lynn Burgess, 37, with code violation. When patrol officers attempted to stop Burgess, he did not stop and led police on a pursuit.

After Burgess engaged in alleged reckless driving, the pursuit was stopped. Later that morning, Burgess was apprehend by CHP officers after was involved in a collision.

A records check revealed that Burgess was on probation and he was placed under arrest. Burgess was booked into the county jail and has been released.
