Search Warrants on Two Pot Grow Houses Served, Suspects Arrested by Elk Grove Police

March 2, 2018 |

Two suspects are in custody in the Sacramento County Jail ineligible for bail after search warrants were served on two suspected residential marijuana growing operations in Elk Grove.

Shortly after 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 1 detectives from the Elk Grove Police Department's Street Crimes units served search warrants on the 2200 block of Heger Way and 5800 block of Zoller Court. Detectives recovered over 1,300 plants and 30 pounds of processed marijuana.

The suspects, Zhong Jing Li, 44, and Xiao Saio Hong, 39, both of Elk Grove were taken into custody. Arraignment will be on Monday, March 5.

Last week Elk Grove Police served a search warrant on the 2200 block of Heger Way that resulted in the arrests of suspects and the seizure of processed marijuana and plants. An Elk Grove Police spokesperson said the two growing operations are unrelated.
