New Chevron gas station-convenience store in Elk Grove robbed

A new Chevron gas station and convenience store in Elk Grove was victimized by an early morning robbery.

Just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23 a suspect entered the Chevron gas station, which recently opened on the 8400 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road on the city's north side. The male suspect had his hand in the sweatshirt as if he was concealing a handgun, and demanded cash.

After the store employee complied, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as either a Hispanic or an African American male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, shorts, and black shoes.
