These are so easy and fun that your kids will love them. The Tang adds a touch of acidity to balance all the sweetness.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 bag microwave popcorn, popped
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 cups marshmallows
  • 1 cup Tang
  • black licorice (optional)

Preparation

In a large mixing bowl add the popcorn and walnuts, and toss together.

Melt the butter over medium-low heat, when it is melted, stir in the marshmallows. Stir constantly until they become liquid. Pour over the popcorn mixture and stir to combine. Press into a lightly greased baking dish, and allow to cool.

When cool to the touch scoop out about a 1/2 cup of the popcorn mixture and roll into balls. If it is too sticky you can oil up your hands. Sprinkle a liberal amount of the Tang onto the popcorn balls until heavily coated and orange. Decorate with licorice to make eyes, a mouth, or the stem of a pumpkin. (optional)
