Blood drive organized on April 10 in Elk Grove

Blood Drive | Rivermont Collegiate

A blood drive is scheduled for Friday, April 10 in Elk Grove.

The blood drive for the American Red Cross will be held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Armaan’s Palace Event Hall located at 2301 Longport Ct, Elk Grove. The mission is being coordinated by Elk Grove resident Ali Moua.

“Elk Grove and the rest of the world are struggling through a difficult time with the covid-19 coronavirus disease. During this moment of crisis, Elk Grovians help one another,” Moua said. "This blood drive is our way of giving staff, colleagues, and neighbors an opportunity to help save lives."

According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative. Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors.

"The American Red Cross employees implemented added precautions to ensure blood drive and donation centers are safe for donors and staff during the coronavirus,” Moua added.

The use of the facilities for the mission are donated by Ravin and Anasnatasia Verma Prasad, owners of Armaan’s Palace Event Hall.

Elk Grove resident Moa is a candidate for Elk Grove City Council District 1 in November. To make a reservation to make a blood donation or for more information contact Moa via email at Contact@alimouacitycouncil.com or sign up online at redcrossblood.org.
