A social media post of a surveillance camera image has led to the identification of a suspect who fled a parking lot accident.

Yesterday the Elk Grove Police Department posted the images on their social media account of a person who allegedly backing into another vehicle at the Target parking lot on Laguna Boulevard on July 25. The female suspect then fled the scene without exchanging information.

The EGPD announced this morning that the suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. No further information was immediately released.
