Defendant arrested by Rancho Cordova Police convicted of pimping, pandering

A man arrested last spring by Rancho Cordova Police was convicted on four counts of pandering and one of pimping in a jury trial that concluded today at Sacramento Superior Court.

The defendant, Bruce Anderson, was arrested last spring by Rancho Cordova police officers after they received a tip that he was engaging in the commercial sexual exploitation of one of the victims.  Officers contacted the victim and received information that substantiated this tip.

Officers also obtained evidence from Anderson’s social media page, which showed him regularly inducing women to engage in prostitution, with him serving as their pimp. An allegation that Anderson suffered a prior strike conviction for first-degree residential burglary was also found true.

It was also learned that Anderson has a previous conviction in Washington state for a felony charge of promoting prostitution.

Anderson faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Sentencing is on April 30, 2021.
