Slight adjustments made for the current Calif. State Senate District 6

The newest map released for the Sacramento-Elk Grove California State Senate shows only minor adjustments in the last two days.

The boundaries for what would be California State Senate District 6 show a slight reduction in the area by removing a portion in the district's northwest corner of the unincorporated North Highland community. The map was posted today by the California Citizen Redistricting Commission.

With only days before the December 27 deadline, it appears there will be only minor changes to the boundaries. The current boundaries are unlikely to affect residency requirements for the four declared candidates seeking to replace Dr. Richard Pan, including former California Assemblymember and Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones, Sacramento City Councilmembers Angelique Ashby and Eric Guerra, and Tecoy Porter.

The current map shows the area to be a majority-minority population.
