Guerra, Nguyen bring in more campaign cash for 10th District Assembly race

In the campaign fundraising race for the California Assembly 10th District, two of the four candidates brought in additional funds last week.

Elk Grove City Councilmember Stephanie Nguyen had a fundraising event that captured $11,000 donations. As a later entering Assembly candidate, Nguyen has raised $25,700 since her entry earlier this month.

According to her California Form 460 filed with the Elk Grove City Clerk's office for six months ending December 31, 2021, Nguyen had $31,988 in her city council account. Between the two accounts, Nguyen is estimated to have $57,688.

The other top contender for the 10th District seat, Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra, has amassed a significantly larger campaign account. Guerra started the year with $325,000 and, as of today, has raised an additional $17,200.

Guerra's most recent contribution was last week's donation of $1,500 from the Stonewall Democratic Club of Greater Sacramento. Guerra also maintains a campaign account for his city council seat with reported funds of $2,347 for six months ending December 31, 2021.
