Based on the Elk Grove Police Department’s Daily watch summary, yesterday was a busy day for Elk Grove’s finest.
At noon yesterday, as part of their Problem Oriented Policing Unit, the EGPD and the Youth Officers conducted an enforcement operation in Old Town Elk Grove and at the three fast food joints near Elk Grove Blvd. and Emerald Oak Dr. The enforcement was in response to citizen complaints about youth activity in both areas.
The enforcement netted 50 juveniles who were cited for charges ranging from possession of marijuana to jaywalking. Three juvenile where cited for misdeamor possession. Parents of all the juveniles were notified.
Last night and early this morning, the department made four separate criminal arrest. Two of the arrest were for outstanding warrants and the other two were for public intoxication. All were transported to the county jail.
