Between tasering a suspect, making arrests for marijuana and recovering stolen sunglasses, Elk Grove police were busy yesterday.
The taser case started as a domestic violence call early yesterday afternoon. Arriving at the scene, officers heard a female victim cry and scream and were unable to gain entry into the dwelling.
After a forced entry, officer discovered a female victim with visible injuries to her neck. The suspect, Joshua Head was handcuffed and lead out of the dwelling.
Once outside, Head reportedly began fighting with one of the arresting officers. After Head refused to comply with officer directions, the taser was used to subdue him. Head was transported to the central jail. (Reporting EGPD officer: Lt. Litade)
Officers also were able to recover a pair of sunglasses that were stolen from a female juvenile while she was wearing them. The eyeglasses were recovered from a male juvenile who was then transferred to juvenile hall.
In addition, police issued four citations for marijuana possession in two separate incidents.
