In response to the stinging foreclosure problem, the city of Elk Grove will host a foreclosure prevention seminar.

Partnering with the California Dept. of Real Estate, the city will conduct a workshop for families facing foreclosure. According the city, "the purpose of the workshop is to help Elk Grove residents stay in their homes or explore exit strategies."

Participants will have access to lenders and financial advisers who will provide their expertise. It is estimated that up to 500 participants could attend.

The workshop will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29th at Wackford Complex, 9014 Bruceville Rd.
