In an exclusive, KCRA reported yesterday that a formal complaint has been filed against the Elk Grove Police Dept. regarding an April 8 vehicle accident.

In that accident, an unnamed Elk Grove police officer ran a red light during a call and hit Frank Fitzgerald. The accident occurred at the intersection of Bond and E. Stockton Blvd.

Fitzgerald was hospitalized for 11 days. During that time Fitzgerald said he received last rites twice.

In the report, KCRA said that the Elk Grove police are conducting their own investigation. Fitzgerald's attorney, Roger Dreyer said the police are seemingly investigating this so as to blame Fitzgerald.

As this site reported April 21, there were few details about the accident available. Perhaps now the citizens of Elk Grove will pay more attention to police conduct.
