ELK GROVE , CA – On Friday, June 20, 2008, the Elk Grove Police Department in conjunction with the Cosumnes Community Services District, the Elk Grove Unified School District Police and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department will conducted a city wide curfew enforcement operation.
The purpose of the operation is to take a proactive approach at preventing juvenile mischief through enforcement and education. Elk Grove Municipal Code (Section 9.05) prohibits juveniles (under 18 years of age) from loitering in public places from 10:00 p.m. until daybreak when not accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult whom is responsible for the care of the juvenile (some exceptions may apply).
