Press release from Elk Grove police

ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying two individuals responsible for an armed robbery that took place on June 28, 2008 in the parking lot of the Terracina apartments (9200 block of Franklin Boulevard )at 8:20 a.m.

The victim was walking to her parked vehicle when she was approached by two African-American juveniles in the parking lot. The first suspect was described as 16-years-old, five feet five inches tall (5’5”), one hundred thirty-five pounds (135 lbs.), with black hair and brown eyes. This suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, dark colored jacket, t-shirt with gold lettering and shorts. The second suspect was described as 16-years-old, five feet five inches tall (5’5”), one hundred thirty-five pounds (135 lbs.), with black hair and brown eyes. This suspect was wearing a black shirt and white shorts.

The first suspect pointed a silver handgun with a black grip at the victim and demanded money. The victim fearing for her safety gave the suspects her Golden 1 Credit Union access card (ATM) and the personal identification number (PIN) along with her cell phone.

The suspects fled the location on foot and apparently went directly over to a nearby Golden 1 Credit Union location and used V-1’s ATM card. The ATM camera at Golden 1 was able to capture still frame photos of the suspect using the card (see attached photos).

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.

Would recognize him anywhere. Wearing his hat backwards like that? That's the tip-off. NO ONE does that in this modern age. Spot him in a crowd, baggy pants hung down low over his ass. I saw him at the shopping mall (that would be that traditional American shopping mall on Sunset Blvd, the one that was not abandoned until AFTER it was built)
